Today's softball game has been cancelled due to rain. We will be working on a new date.
Updated Grand March information: The live stream will now be on Facebook; it will not be on the activities live stream. Navigate to the Iroquois Chiefs page on Facebook to watch it live at 8:00 pm.
PROM Grand March tonight at 8:00. The south Parking area has very limited space. We would like to have anyone coming to the grand march enter through the North Gym or through the southernmost door on the West side of the school. This will allow everyone a place to park in the parking areas around the building. You may also watch on the live feed using the "Activities Livestream" link on the school webpage.
📚🍕 A First for Iroquois—Book Tasting Success! 🍕📚
Taylor hosted Iroquois’s very first Book Tasting as part of her Focus on Children STAR Event, and it was a hit!
After surveying teachers who work closely with literacy, she discovered students needed more exposure to books. From there, she selected a variety of genres and carefully chose books for our 6th and 7th graders to explore.
With a fun pizza-themed setup, students rotated through tables featuring historical fiction, fantasy, thriller, non-fiction, mystery, graphic novels, and adventure. Each table had 6 books, and students had 5 minutes to “sample” before moving on.
The best part? You could hear the success throughout the room every time a student asked, “Where can I find this book? I want to read it!” 📖✨
The next step for Taylor is to complete her presentation to present at the State Leadership Conference about this engaging and meaningful experience that got students excited about reading. 👏

Sutton Strong!

FCCLA members Trae and Thomas worked on their National Programs in Action STAR Event by hosting a Career Fair on April 8, 2026. Their project focused on the FCCLA National Program Career Connection.
During 1st period, 5th graders visited the FACS room and had the opportunity to explore 9 different careers. Freshman students each selected a career, created an informative display, and included hands-on items to make learning interactive and engaging.
This event gave 5th graders a chance to ask questions, explore future career possibilities, and connect with high school students in a meaningful way. Great work to all involved!

Iroquois FCCLA members Brianna and Kolee have been hard at work on their Focus on Children STAR Event. They recently enlisted the help of their classmates to teach Iroquois preschool students how to play Crazy 8’s, creating a fun and engaging learning experience for everyone involved.
As part of their project, they also upcycled old CDs to create card holders, making it easier for the preschool students to hold and play their cards. Great job to these members for combining creativity, teamwork, and hands-on learning to support younger students in our school community.
