The senior class recently completed the final requirement of their Senior Capstone Experience by delivering their professional presentations to evaluators and community members. These presentations marked the culmination of months of preparation, research, and real-world experiences designed to help students prepare for life after high school.
Throughout the Senior Capstone Experience, students explored careers that matched their personal interests and future goals. As part of the process, students researched career pathways, created realistic monthly budgets based on their chosen profession, wrote formal research papers, completed resumes and job applications, and participated in mock job interviews to strengthen their professional skills.
Students also gained valuable hands-on experience by job shadowing professionals in their prospective career fields. In addition, each senior completed at least 20 hours of either a capstone project or volunteer service, allowing them to give back to their communities while building leadership and workplace skills.
The final presentations allowed students to showcase everything they learned throughout the experience while reflecting on their growth, future plans, and career aspirations. The Senior Capstone Experience continues to provide students with meaningful opportunities to develop responsibility, professionalism, communication skills, and confidence as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
I am very proud of these seniors and all of their hard work!
