I grew up at Willow Lake and graduated from Willow Lake School. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Dakota State University and Master of Education from South Dakota State University. This is my 31st year in the field of education. I have taught at Madison, Agar, and Willow Lake. I have wore many different hats over my many years of experience. I have three beautiful, smart and busy daughters - Brittany, Bailey, and Brooke. My two grandchildren - Tate and Kynsley keep Grandma Tracy hopping! I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, gardening, shopping, and reading!

Academic and/or behavior concern identified

Teacher and parent/guardian discuss concern

Interventions attempted (home and/or school)

Concern continues

SAT (Student Assistance Team) Referral Forms completed by 100% of involved teachers, parent/guardian - get forms from Ms. Bratland Bruns

The referral is given to Ms. Bratland Bruns

Ms. Bratland Bruns schedules Student Assistance Team (SAT) meeting

Student Assistance Team (SAT) meets to:

  1. Define the problem

  2. Review baseline data and set goal

  3. Develop an intervention

Intervention implemented - 16 in session school days/4 school weeks

Intervention evaluated by the SAT and options discussed:

  1. Continue intervention (increase goal and fade as appropriate)

  2. Increase intervention fidelity

  3. Modify or increase intensity of intervention

  4. Referral for 504 or sped evaluation (if progress is poor after intensive intervention is implemented with fidelity for a reasonable amount of time)
