Welcome!

About me:

I graduated from DeSmet High School in 1995.

1999: B.S. in Restaurant Administration from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN. I managed and worked as a chef in various restaurants in the Twin Cities and Sioux Falls until deciding restaurant life was not for me anymore.

2012: I received my Master's in Education from Grand Canyon University and became certified to teach Math.

2017: Started teaching math at Iroquois. I love it in Iroquois.  The students here work hard and have fun at the same time. I have previously taught at Oldham/Ramona for 1 year.

2022: I earned my Education Specialist Degree in Administration -Principal.

2024: I completed my Education Specialist Degree for Superintendent.

2025-2026: Marks my 5th year as MS/HS Principal at Iroquois.

2019-2022: Head Girls' Basketball Coach for the Iroquois/Doland Co-op for our three seasons as a co-op.   Previously I was the Head Boy's Golf Coach in Canton for 3 years and an assistant girls’ basketball coach.

Family: Wife: Lindsay (24years) teaches MS/HS English/Language Arts in DeSmet. Daughter: Mesa is a ParaProfessional in DeSmet (27) Grandchildren: Avani(2), Chaeten(1) and Son: Caleb (18) just graduated from DeSmet.

My family has hosted 2 Foreign Exchange Students. It is a great experience I would encourage families to do.

24-25 School year saw me go back to the classroom, teaching 6th-grade math. I will again be teaching 6th grade again this year along with teaching an ACT Prep course for 11th graders during the first semester.
